     The Department of Information Security provides training at three levels: Bachelor's - Master's – doctoral PhD in Russian, Kazakh and English languages in the following areas:

 The teaching staff of the Department of Information Security consists of 47 people, of which 33 are full-time employees, 2 foreign professors, 8 specialists practitioners, 4 internal part-time employees, including 2 Doctors of Sciences, 18 Candidates of Sciences, 6 Doctors of Philosophy (PhD), 20 Masters.

Specialists-practitioners were involved in implementation of the educational process, including Bil O.V., a virus analyst, chief architect - head of the malicious code research laboratory of the «State Technical Service» RSE.

Leading scientists from foreign partner universities are invited as foreign specialists of the department, including in the academic year of 2020-2021: PhD, Professor of the University of Tartu (Estonia) Raimundas Matulevicius; Candidate of Technical Sciences, Associate Professor, Dean of the Faculty of Computer Design of the Belarusian State University of Informatics and Radioelectronics Likhachevsky Dmitry Viktorovich.

The staff of the department have repeatedly been the owners of the title «The best teacher of the university»:

Most of the lecturers of the department are experts engaged by JSC «National Center for State Scientific and Technical Expertise», JSC «Center Uchebnik», JSC «Center Daryn» (Sharipbay A.A., Satybaldina D.Zh., Sagindykov K.M., Razakhova B.Sh., Omarbekova A. S., Kintonova A.Zh., Turebayeva R.D. and others) and as the chairmen of the SAC in other universities (Sharipbay A.A., Satybaldina D.Zh., Sagindykov K.M., Bekmanova G.T., Razakhova B.Sh.).

Particular attention in the activities of the department is paid to the development of international relations with foreign universities. The department cooperates with a number of leading universities of the near and far abroad, including: Belarusian State University of Informatics and Radioelectronics (Minsk, Republic of Belarus); Czech Technical University (Prague, Czech Republic); Lublin Technical University (Lublin, Poland); Istanbul Technical University (Istanbul,
