SCIENTIFIC ACTIVITIES

The teaching staff of the Department of Information Security carry out research activities in cooperation with the Scientific Research Institute “Information Security and Cryptology”.

SRI “Information Security and Cryptology” has been operating since 2012 (http://iisc.kz/). The director of the Institute is PhD, Associate Professor, Head of the Department "Information Security" Satybaldina D.ZH. (from October 2022).

Research and development activities of the Institute are carried out in the following areas:

1. Information systems security;

2. Encoding and protecting information;

3. Applied cryptography;

4. Security in cloud computing;

5. Hardware protection of information;

6. Development of cryptoalgorithms;

7. Software solutions.

To carry out the activities of the SRI "Information Security and Cryptology" has:

- subdivision for the protection of state secrets and permission of the authorized state body to carry out work using information constituting state secrets;

- design and research laboratories that have passed instrumental testing by the National Security Committee of the Republic of Kazakhstan;

- a license to engage in the development and implementation (including other transfer) of means of cryptographic protection of information, issued by the National Security Committee of the Republic of Kazakhstan, СК№089 of June 14, 2012.

The employees of the Institute have experience in conducting research and development in the following works:
