From September 11 to December 14, 2020 at the ENU at the Faculty of Information Technology, the Department of Informatics, begin online training courses "Visualization Technology and Cloud Computing" for doctoral students of the educational program 8D01511 - Informatics and "National system for assessing the quality of education: domestic and foreign experience" for masters  students 7M01124 - Pedagogical measurements will be held. Lecture course is delivered by Jaroslav Kultan, Ph.D., University of Economics of Bratislava.

Y. Kultan's scientific interests cover various areas of activity: database systems, distance learning, videoconferencing, identification and modeling in power, economic exploitation of renewable energy sources, etc.

There are scientific publications in foreign journals and collections, textbooks and monographs. Scientific supervision of doctoral dissertations.

 Innovations in the field of education and science that significantly influenced the development of the industry:

Feedback in the learning process using ICT. Positive and negative sides of learning.

General information

The department is actively engaged in international cooperation with partner universities: Czech University of Natural Sciences (Czech Republic), Istanbul Technical University (Turkey), Aksaray University (Turkey), University of Economics Bratislava (Slovakia), University of Texas at Rio Grnade Valley (USA), University of Navrara (Spain), CNIT Consortium (Italy). Cooperation is conducted in the following areas: academic mobility of students and teachers, writing joint articles, participating in conferences, scientific consulting of doctoral dissertations, etc. According to the results of the reporting period, teachers of the Department of Informatics Associate Professor Zakirova A.B. (University of Poitiers, France, 2016), associate professor G. Abildinova (Alberto College, Latvia, 2018), and associate professor A. Nurbekov (Belgium, KU LEUVEN University, Brussels, 2017) participated in Erazmus + teaching. Teachers gave lectures at the above universities.

The department takes part in the international projects of Erasmus + Capacity Bulding in Higer education. For example, the project 598317-EPP-1-2018-1-BG-EPPKA2-CBHE-JP, SMARTCITY: Innovative Approach Towards a Master Program “is preparing masters in a two-degree program. The results of the international project Erasmus + 598367-EPP-1-2018-1-SE-EPPKA2-CBHE-JP / STEM “An Integrated Approach to the Training of Teachers of the Direction” made it possible to develop master's programs STEM Teacher Training based on an integrated approach (for primary teachers classes and teachers of STEM at the high school level); create regional resources of STEM centers providing consulting services; to train teachers in new skills, The results of the Erasmus + project “Modernization of Higher Education in Central Asia through New Technologies (HIEDTEC)” are: the ability to create a sustainable academic network for the exchange of experience and best practices in the field of innovative educational technologies and didactic models; development of concepts for adapting the education system to the digital generation; Creation of centers of innovative educational technologies; the opening of active learning classes, virtual classes, the development of a directory of innovative educational technologies; courses for trainers and teachers; development of digital educational resources.

The following teachers from non-CIS countries came for short-term lectures, as well as for Erasmus + programs: in 2016, he gave lectures by Alfredo Pino (University of Navaro, Spain) in the disciplines Robotics, Robot and education; in 2017-2018 lectures were invited by professor of the Institute of Hydrodynamics named after M.A. Lavrentiev - Sukhinin S.V., professor of Istanbul Technical University - Ashref Adali. In the period from 05/07/2018 - 05/13/2018 Agnis Shkushkovich (Alberta College, Latvia) was invited under the Erasmus + program to give a lecture on computer board games. During the passage of a scientific school from 04/04/2018 - 04/08/2018, Dace Briede (Alberta College, Latvia) participated in a workshop on the effective use of moodle. The specialist Juan Luis Jiménez Tenorio (Spain, Cadiz University, April 30, 2018 - May 4, 2018) acquainted the faculty staff with scientific projects with a view to further mutually beneficial cooperation. Lectures on machine learning were delivered by Professor Farid Melgani (Italy, University of Trento, 04/08/2018 - 04/13/2018). In the period from November 15 to December 15, 2019, Professor Jalal Karaja, from Aksaray University (Turkey), was invited to give a lecture on the course “Educational online platforms”, “Multimedia software tools”. A meeting was held between the dean of the faculty and the heads of departments with representatives of the Higher Technical University of Lisbon (Portugal) Louise Almed Moreira and Louise Teixoto. During the meeting, the issues of student mobility and teaching staff, as well as possible scientific cooperation in the field of IT were discussed.
