Seminar, dedicated to new technologies of the 6G generation

International collaboration of scientists of the Faculty of Information Technologies of the L.N.Gumilev ENU

On September 6, 2022, a seminar on new technologies of the 6G generation was held at the Faculty of Information Technologies of the L.N. Gumilev Eurasian National University (hereinafter – FIT). As you know, 5G technology is currently being tested in three major cities in the Republic of Kazakhstan. The initiator of this seminar was Galymzhan Nauryzbayev, Associate Professor of Nazarbayev University, who invited his colleague Khaled Rabie from Manchester Metropolitan University, United Kingdom. It should be noted that Dr. Galymzhan Nauryzbayev was invited (Hirsch index h= 18) for the scientific guidance of doctoral students and undergraduates of FIT.

The seminar was attended by undergraduates, doctoral students, teachers of FIT.

The result of this seminar and the meeting of experts in the field of network technologies was:

  • Interest in signing a memorandum of cooperation between L.N. Gumilev Eurasian National University and Manchester Metropolitan University.
  • collaboration of scientists and participation in Manchester Metropolitan grants, as well as in applications of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Shakhmaran Seilov, Dean of the Faculty of Information Technology offered to be a foreign scientific consultant for FIT doctoral students to Professor Khaled Rabi. Dr. Khaled invited FIT doctoral students and faculty to participate in its grants received under international programs for the development of network architecture, interaction protocols and radio frequency resource management issues for 6 G technologies.
