«CISCO STARS CENTRAL ASIA-2021»

The Faculty of Information Technologies of the L. N. Gumilyov ENU together with the Kazakh Academy of Infocommunication holds the traditional Olympiad "CISCO STARS CENTRAL ASIA – 2021" on network technologies among students of universities, colleges of Central Asia and the Russian Federation, the Olympiad has become an important part of the scientific and educational process of the university and inter-university interaction.

The purpose of the Olympiad is to create conditions for supporting gifted students, to spread and popularize scientific and practical knowledge in the field of network technologies among young people, to develop students ' creative approach to solving problems of building and configuring a network, and to form an interest in research and practical activities.

The "CISCO STARS CENTRAL ASIA – 2021" Olympiad is held in two stages. More than 800 students have registered for the Olympiad. The first round of the Olympiad was held remotely on the platform netacad.com. The participants passed an online test that determines the level of knowledge of network technologies.

735 students of the leading universities and colleges of Kazakhstan took part in the first round of the Olympiad "CISCO STARS CENTRAL ASIA – 2021": ЕНУ

  • Colleges and schools of Karaganda, Akmola regions and Nur-Sultan.

242 students passed the threshold level for participation in the second round.

Participants who have scored at least 70% of the maximum possible number of points for the first round will be admitted to the second round.

According to the results of the first stage, 40 students of universities and colleges will pass to the second round. Due to the current situation in the country, the second round will be held on April 15-30 in an online format, where participants will perform laboratory work on Packet Tracer.

The list of participants of the second round will be published on April 9 additionally.
