Open Day "Talapker-2022"

The event was attended by heads of universities, deans of faculties, heads of departments, faculty, graduates and parents. The meeting brought together about 600 graduates from Karaganda, Pavlodar, Atyrau, Akmola (Talapker village, Koyandy, Kosshy) regions and schools in the city of Nur-Sultan.

 

School graduates were given extensive information about the educational programs of the university. Students had the opportunity to get acquainted with the educational programs of the university in the lobby, where a special exhibition of the faculty was organized, educational and scientific achievements of the university were demonstrated.

 All departments of the Faculty of Information Technology took part in the Open Doors Day. The teachers of the department presented the educational programs of the department, graduates were given presentation books of educational programs. The guests watched video clips, presentations, providing complete information about the department.

TurkLang 2022

The Department of AI plans to hold the X International Conference on Computer processing of Turkic Languages "TurkLang 2022" from June 16 to 18, 2022.

 

Areas of work of the conference:

- National localization of computer systems and terminology

- Electronic text and audio corpora of Turkic languages

- Technologies of morphological, syntactic and semantic text processing

- Semiotic models in artificial intelligence systems

- Technologies and systems of machine translation and speech technologies

- Intelligent learning technologies

-Turkic languages as a basis for the creation of new intellectual technologies and knowledge processing systems

- Linguistic resources for Turkic languages.

 

The conference program includes plenary and breakout sessions, round tables, demonstrations of software systems.

Within the framework of the conference, a семинар "Computational Models in Turkish Language and Speech" will be organized, the working language of the seminar is English.

On the eve of the International Women's Day, a solemn event was held at ENU 

 

The Rector of the L.N.Gumilyov ENU Yerlan Sydykov congratulated the fair sex on the upcoming March 8. The academician expressed gratitude to the female part of the university staff for their hard work and wished them further achievements in their careers and lives.

 

The Rector of ENU awarded the head of the department, Ph.D. Razakhova B.Sh. for her great contribution to the development of the university and the education system with the medal "25 years of the L.N.Gumilyov ENU".


Advanced training of teaching staff of the department

 

Teaching staff of the department Туребаева Р.Д., Ниязова Р.С., Амангельды Н., Елюбаева Г.К., Жолдасова Ш.Ш., Турсунова Н.А. successfully completed advanced training courses "Creating an application for interacting with a 3D model in VR" and "Fundamentals of network technologies. Network security” on the simulator "IT Alem" and received certificates, certificate .

 

A scientific seminar "Artificial Intelligence: tasks, solutions, prospects" was held

 

In order to implement the order of the Ministry of Education and Science No. 349 dated July 19, 2021, the Department of Artificial Intelligence Technologies of the Faculty of Information Technology held a scientific seminar "Artificial intelligence: tasks, solutions and prospects" with the participation of Professor of Istanbul Technical University, PhD Eshref Adali, attracted to the Faculty of Information Technology in 2021 at the expense of the republican budget. The seminar was held in an offline/online format.

The seminar was opened by the head of the Department of Artificial Intelligence Technologies, Ph.D. Razakhova Bibigul Shamshanovna, who announced the holding of the seminar on an ongoing basis and called on all scientists engaged in research work in this field to unite and solve even more problems.

The first word was given to Professor of Istanbul Technical University, PhD Esref Adali for a report on "Machine Learning and applications".

Young scientists of the department: Amangeldy Nurzada familiarized with the results of scientific works "Various ways to solve sign language recognition problems", Turmaganbetova Shynar "A system of questions and answers based on the knowledge base on the tax sphere" and told what problems can be solved in the future.

 

Professor of the Department, Doctor of I.N. Sharipbai Altynbek Amirovich made a report "Intelligent information systems".

 

 

 

Professor, PhD Eshref Adali donated two books, wishing prosperity to the new Department of Artificial Intelligence Technologies.

 

 

Open Day 11/18/21

On November 18, 2021, career guidance work was carried out at the Faculty of Information Technologies in an online format with the graduating classes of the city of Nur-Sultan and other regions of the republic.

 

 

Previously, the responsible specialists of the department for career guidance prepared letters of invitation, sent them to the mail of the school of the city and other regions.

School graduates from the city of Nur-Sultan and other regions of Kazakhstan took part in the Open Doors Day. The list of schools that took part in the Open Day is presented below.

After the dean's speech, the moderator gave the floor to the heads of each department, according to the plan, in order to get to know the department in more detail.

The responsible specialist for career guidance of the Department of Artificial Intelligence Technologies distributed to the graduates of the school booklets of the department, developed in two languages, showed a video of the department.

 

Exhibition of projects Erasmus +

 

October 15, 2021 at ENU. L. N. Gumilyova, within the framework of the Erasmus Days event, an exhibition of the results of the projects of Component 2 “Capacity Building in Higher Education” of the Erasmus + program and information sessions on international credit mobility programs were successfully held.

The purpose of this event is to disseminate information about the Erasmus + program, about the projects and opportunities that it opens up.

The teachers of the Department of Artificial Intelligence Technologies and Information Security presented the projects “Development of the interdisciplinary master's program in computational linguistics at the universities of Central Asia CLASS” and “Licence master professionnel en protection informatique LMPI”.

            The CLASS project was carried out to develop an interdisciplinary master's program in computational linguistics at universities in Central Asia. The LMPI project aims to create e-learning for bachelors and masters for the protection of computer systems and networks in three partner countries: Vietnam, Moldova and Kazakhstan.
