Training and employment

      The Department of Information Security seeks to improve the process of organizing professional practice, to promote employment and adaptation of graduates in the labor market in modern conditions. To this end, the department creates a stable connection with the professional community, taking into account the importance of cooperation with potential employers and considering the organization of professional practice as a strategy for the employment of young specialists.

The professional practice of students is organized on the basis of the following companies:

      Masters and doctoral students undergo research practice at the Scientific research institute "Information Security and Cryptology" (http://iisc.kz/) and the Scientific research institute "Artificial Intelligence" (http://e-zerde.kz), the main task of which is to conduct fundamental and applied research in the field of information security, cryptography, development of crypto algorithms, security of information systems, security in cloud computing, as well as artificial intelligence.

      To update educational programs in accordance with the requirements of potential employers and the labor market, the teaching staff of the department discusses the content of elective disciplines with potential employer companies, including:

       The indicator of the demand for graduates and the compliance of the educational program with the modern demands of the labor market is the maximum employment of graduates. The statistical report on the employment of graduates shows a positive trend in employment rates in recent years (Table 1).
