Achievements of our students

Students of the 4th year of the specialty "5В070400 - Computer Science and Software" Yeyseev Meirkhan and Galy Mahmud Mustafabek Musauli won the Open Data Hackaton Grand Prize, which was held on February 24-25. Their project to solve technological problems of the city of Astana "My bus stop" was well marked by experts.
Astana Innovations Challenge 2 is the continuation of the Astana Innovations Challenge project launched last year.
The project is aimed at developing the start-up culture of the city of Astana, as well as establishing relationships between state bodies and start-ups by involving young developers in solving city technological problems. Hakaton is a two-day event that brings together experts, entrepreneurs, start-up teams and investors to create a new business project. Recall that students of the 4th year of the specialty "5В070400 - Computing Machinery and Software" Shaki Lesbek, Eseev Meirkhan and Galy Mahmud Mustafabek Musauly under the leadership of Nurbekova Zh.K. developed the application "Togyz Qumalaq".

The Republican Student Subject Olympiad in Computer Science and Software was held at Pavlodar State University. 14 teams from all over Kazakhstan arrived at PSU to compete in an intellectual battle and identify the best of the best. ENU students of the specialty “Computer Science and Software” of the Faculty of Information Technologies Shagi Lesbek (4th year), Galy Makhmud (4th year), Nagmetulla Temirlan (3rd year) took first place in the Republican Student Subject Olympiad in the team championship.

The head of the Olympiad team is Professor of the Department of Computer and Software Engineering S.K. Atanov.

Having slightly lost to their rivals, representatives of Atyrau State University named after Kh. Dosmukhamedov took second place.
The team of the Almaty University of Energy and Communications won bronze.
The winners were awarded valuable prizes.
Let us note that last year our team took third place in the subject Olympiad, and this year they improved the result. According to tradition, the winning team of the university will organize a similar subject Olympiad next year, which will identify the best programmers of the Republic.

PHYSICAL EDUCATION AND FORMATION OF A HEALTHY LIFESTYLE
Physical culture occupies an important place in the process of physical education of students, in the formation of a healthy lifestyle, organization of recreation and leisure, restoration of physical and spiritual strength.
Regular participation in mass sports events throughout the entire period contributes to the formation and improvement of such professional qualities as general endurance, operational thinking, emotional stability, courage and determination, initiative, and communication skills.
One of these sporting events was the Football Spartakiad, in which students and staff of our department took part. According to the results of the tournament, held on January 6-7, 2024, representatives of the department and faculty took 3rd place: Abildinov Dias Satybaevich, 1st year doctoral student and Zhaksylyk Aktore Almasuly.

Also, as part of caring for the health of students and others, health workers hold meetings and explanatory conversations with students.
On February 18, 2021 at 15:45 on the MS Teams platform, therapist Konyrova Saltanat Zhomartovna and social worker Zhuspekova Anar Zholdubayevna from the “Clinic of Doctor Abdugalimov” organized a meeting for 1st year students living in student house No. 7 on the topic: “Reproductive girls' health."
On March 13, 2021, from 9:00-12:00, an “Open Doors Day for socially vulnerable assigned students” was held on the territory of the “Dr. Abdugalimov Clinic” for 1-4 year students. A certain category of students of the department received consultation.

An equally significant aspect of life for cultivating an active civic and patriotic position in students is social involvement and activity in public and student life.
