Within the framework of the project on the development of partnership between universities in the USA and Kazakhstan, organized by American Councils for International Education, L.N. Gumilev Eurasian National University, the Department of Computer Science, together with Toraigyrov University, received a grant to develop partnerships with the American University of Texas, Rio Grande. Funded by the U.S. Embassy in Nur Sultan, the project aims to create sustainable international collaboration and partnership between U.S. and Kazakh higher education institutions in the areas of curriculum development, research and capacity building in the field of renewable energy. Building partnerships between universities focuses on building a computer model of performance and optimization of wind farms using augmented reality. Within the framework of the project, it was also proposed to develop a new course on renewable energy for students of ENU and Toraigyrov University. The project leader is Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor Abildinova G.M.

Under the leadership of Associate Professor Abildinov G.M., together with colleagues from the City, University of London (London City University - State Research University, Great Britain), they are implementing the international project Going Global Partnerships Interlinks, funded by the British Council.

Within the framework of this project, in December of this year, Zhanar Akhmetova and Gulmira Abeldinova paid a working visit to the City, University of London in order to discuss the implementation of the project with London partners. The meeting discussed ways to strengthen scientific and academic cooperation between the two universities. During the visit, the delegation of L.N.Gumilev ENU met with the Dean and Deputy Dean for International Cooperation of the School of Science and Technology, Head of the Engineering Department and Director of City LEaD (improvement and development of education).

Teachers of the department annually undergo advanced training and internships. Associate professor of the department Abildinova G.M. and teacher Abdikarimova S.K. received the international scholarship "Bolashak". Abildinova G.M. completed a scientific internship from 05/09/2022 to 08/27/2022 at Aksaray University (Turkey). S.K. Abdikarimova has completed an internship at the University of Lincoln (Great Britain) since 05/14/2022.

The ENU also attracts foreign specialists as foreign scientific consultants to give lectures at faculties and conduct joint research. Scientists are invited from various countries such as China, Russia, the USA, Turkey, Poland, Spain, Italy, Hungary, the Czech Republic, Germany, etc. In addition to the implementation of the program for financing foreign specialists at the expense of ENU funds on a long-term basis, a program for attracting foreign specialists on a remote basis at the expense of the ENU budget has been implemented since 2020. This makes it possible to expand access to experts from different countries and ensure a wider exchange of knowledge and experience between scientists from different cultures and scientific schools.

ENU annually allocates quotas to attract foreign scientists at the expense of the republican budget. In addition, cooperation with embassies, the Erasmus+ program, Fellowship, government grants from foreign countries (Italy, Spain, Poland, Hungary, Turkey, etc.) is expanding. The selection of foreign specialists is carried out in accordance with the terms of the Regulations, through meetings of the university commission and on the basis of a point-factor method that takes into account criteria such as academic degree, work experience, Hirsch index, rating of the sending university, the language of classes and the presence of international recognition. Monitoring of the activities of the teaching staff (teaching staff) is carried out through the submission of reports, acts of completed work within the framework of labor contracts, as well as monitoring the program for attracting foreign specialists at the expense of the republican budget. Academic mobility of teaching staff is being activated. For example, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor Serik M. in the 2022-2023 academic year, he works at 0.25 rates at the Azhiniyaz Nukus University of the Republic of Uzbekistan. Teachers of the Department of Computer Science also conduct lectures and seminars for students and colleagues from other universities. For example, in the period from October 11 to 13, 2022, associate professor of the Department of Informatics Abildinova G.M. and senior lecturer Karymsakova A.E. conducted a series of lectures and seminars for students of the Andijan Engineering Institute (Uzbekistan) on the topic "Modern problems of pedagogy". Lectures and practical classes are also provided for students as part of the academic mobility program. For example, in the period from April 1 to May 1, 2022, associate professor Davletova A.H. She conducted lectures and practical classes for students of the specialty "Information Systems" in the discipline "Databases" at the University of Ahmet Yasawi. Teachers of the Department of Computer Science are also actively developing special courses and introducing them into the educational process.
ACADEMIC MOBILITY
Student/undergraduate exchange programs that are popular among students of the Department are academic mobility (through grants from the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan and self–financing), Erasmus+ grants, the Ambassador program, etc.
In the current academic year, 4 students have been accepted to partner universities:
