INVITED PROFESSORS
We are always open for cooperation with teachers from foreign universities. Annually foreign faculty are invited to the Faculty of Information technologies to give lectures in English. Thanks to this practice, teachers and students not only improve the experience of communication in a foreign language, but also receive relevant knowledge from foreign practice.
From 1 to 10 December 2016 in the Eurasian National University. L.N. Gumilev (Astana, Kazakhstan) hosted the International Winter Scientific School "Traditions and Innovations IT" devoted to the inclusion of the journal "Eurasian Journal of Mathematical and Computer Applications" in the SCOPUS database.
Invited professors and members of the editorial board of the EJMCA took part in the work of the school: Vladimir Romanov, Anatoly Fedotov, Vladimir Vasin, Andrei Karchevsky, Vladislav Shelepov, Valery Starovoitov, Mikhail Tatur, Fedor Murzin, Alfredo Pino Galafi. They gave lectures for students, undergraduates and doctoral students of the University.
This winter scientific school solves the most important task - it forms the human resources potential of the modern IT industry of the participating countries, contributes to the education of a new generation of young and talented IT specialists. Annual holding of scientific schools, conferences and national finals of the international Olympiad "IT Planet" on the basis of the ENU once again demonstrates the integration processes in science and education, the continuity and established traditions in the field of IT, "Serikzhan Kanayev said.
The opening of the event was also made by Vladimir Romanov, the editor-in-chief of the Eurasian Journal of Mathematical and Computer Applications. Congratulating colleagues on the achievement of the scientific journal, the scientist thanked the staff of the Eurasian National University in the person of the rector, as well as the dean and the faculty of information technology at the university.
Within the framework of the opening of the winter school, the ceremony of awarding members of the editorial board of the scientific journal Eurasian Journal of Mathematical and Computer Applications with thank-you letters on behalf of the rector of the Eurasian National University, Yerlan Sydykov.
« Medal named after L.N. Gumilyov and a letter of thanks on behalf of the rector of the ENU named after LN Gumilyov was also awarded the chief editor of the Eurasian Journal of Mathematical and Computer Applications, Professor Vladimir Romanov.
As a result of the meeting, a scientific seminar was held, during which the report of the deputy editor-in-chief of EJMCA, professor of ENU named after LN Gumilev Kazizat Iskakov, on the topic "History and perspectives of the development of the Eurasian Journal of Mathematical and Computer Applications" was heard.

Within the framework of the project "Professional Master's Degree in Computer Science as the Second Competence in Central Asia" (PROMIS) on September 22-24, 2016 in the L.N. Gumilyov ENU, the courses "DATA MOUNTAIN" and "STORAGE AND DATA QUESTIONS FROM THE WEB: INTRODUCTION TO XML- AND SEMANTIC TECHNOLOGIES ».
The lecturers of the courses were professors from the University of Applied Sciences Beta, Berlin, Germany: Agate Merceron and Petra Sauer.
