1. Employment

The main criterion for success in the implementation of EP Information systems is the percentage of graduates employed by this EP and the employers' feedback on graduates of the IP department. Therefore, the department annually monitors the employment of graduates and questioning employers. The dynamics of employment of graduates of the IP department in the context of years are presented in the following tables:

Annually, with the participation of employers for graduates, a "Job Fair" is held in the areas of specialist training, various trainings and consultations are held by employers for students of the  ENU named after L.N.Gumilyov.

The university website in the career section http://www.enu.kz/ru/karera/ contains information about ongoing activities on employment and practice, as well as a database of contracts for the passage of professional practice.

The results of the survey of employers showed that most of them are satisfied with the quality of training of graduates of the IP department, they noted the active position of graduates, their ability for further education. Employers note the good skills of graduates of OP 5B070300 - Information systems, 6M070300 - Information systems in organizational and management activities for the development of IP.

In order to assist in the employment of graduates, a complex of measures is being taken to develop mutually beneficial cooperation with employers.

The Council of Employers was established and operates at the university. Employers are involved in the development, examination and implementation of educational programs. They conduct practical classes, participate in the work of the final state certification.

The database of employers today includes 1,440 partner organizations (reference: Astana - 254, Almaty - 121, South Kazakhstan Region 190, East Kazakhstan 85, Kostanai 65, Karaganda 49, North Kazakhstan 36, Pavlodar - 18, Zhambyl - 13, Mangistau region - 8, Ekibastuz-34, Atyrau - 14) (Appendix 28).

 There is a database of organizations with which agreements have been signed on cooperation on the issue of the professional practice of students.

Reference: Among corporate partners are the Ministry of Justice, the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Transport and Communications, the Ministry of Emergency Situations, Samruk – Energy JSC, Exploration Production Kazmunaygas JSC, Eurasian Bank JSC, Tsesnabank JSC, NK JSC Kazakhstan Temirzholy ”, JSC“ Financial Center ”, JSC“ Asia Auto ”, Museum of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Astana Su Arnasy and others.

At the enterprises there are 70 branches of the departments, whose activities are aimed at the practice-oriented training of students. The university, together with employers, conducts practical exercises, seminars, conferences at the branches, as well as round tables on the organization and practice, employment.

 

2. Training

Bachelor in Information Systems - a graduate (his qualification in the specialty) in his practical activities develops information processes and technologies within the framework of analysis, forecasts, models and professionally oriented information systems.

Forms of his professional activity:

- information processes determined by the specifics of the subject area;

- events specific to the thematic area, functional processes and databases, activities for the development of management decisions or activities aimed at the development of expert opinions, information flows, resources (material, informational, monetary, etc.);

- a new direction in the field of applications, requiring the introduction of computer technology, local area networks and (or) means of access to global information networks;

 - professionally oriented information systems.

Experience is necessary to prepare students for the professional field, to master the qualifications and skills required by the specialty. Experience is an obligatory part of the educational process, which in modern conditions is one of the most important components of the education system.

Experience is a test of the ability to apply theoretical knowledge gained in the production environment, which contributes to the professional development of a specialist, develops analytical skills and advanced thinking abilities and is the first stage in the practical application of the acquired knowledge.

The purpose of professional practice is to study the experience of creating, implementing and using information systems and technologies to address specific issues of future professional, managerial or scientific activities; mastering the practical skills of solving information problems at a particular workplace; collection of empirical materials for term papers and theses.
