Visiting Professor Dr. Marzanah A. Jabar from University Putra Malaysia, (UPM) Malaysia read a course of lectures to undergraduates of the Department of "Computer and Software Engineering" of the Faculty of Information Technology of the L.N. Gumilev Eurasian National University
Associate Professor Dr. Marzanah A. Jabar is currently a Lecturer in the Department of Software Engineering and Information System. She holds a PhD in Management Information System from Universiti Putra Malaysia, (UPM) Malaysia.
Her current research interests are in Software Engineering, Knowledge Management, Information Management Systems, Big Data Analytics and Enterprise Software Development. She is currently pursuing several research projects funded by UPM and the Ministry of High Education. A full list of her research projects and publications is available at ResearchGate.
To date, Marzanah is the Principal Investigator for 32 research grants valued at RM2 millions, consultation work worth at RM300,000 and has published in more than 180 articles in journals, conferences proceedings, seminars, technical reports. Additionally, Dr. Marzanah has more than 50 copyrights and 2 patents to her name. She has also successfully commercialized 1 product from her own research.
She has supervised numerous Bachelor, Masters and PhD students. She is also an Instructor for ICT subject for Masters of Business Administrator (MBA) for Graduate School of Management UPM, Graduate School of Management UNISEL, Razak Business School UTM and Putra Business Graduate School. She has been involved in providing professional services of journal reviewer, conference reviewer, an editor on several editorial boards for international journals and international conferences. In acknowledgement of her contribution to academic and research excellence and her involvement in students’ activities and societies, the university has awarded her UPM Excellent Service Award for year 2008, 2011 and 2018.
Dr. Marzanah A. Jabar has been a visiting professor at the Department of "Computer and Software Engineering", Faculty of Information Technology, L.N. Gumilev Eurasian National University in the period from November 10 to December 8, 2022. She conducted classes for 1st year undergraduates in the discipline "Cloud technologies" according to the educational program 7M06104 Computer Engineering and Software.
