On March 18, 2021, the next expanded meeting of the Scientific Council of the Faculty of Information Technologies of the L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University took place in a combined online and offline format in compliance with all sanitary standards, to which the director of the historical public association "Atazhurt", an honored public figure, was invited, writer Khurmanbai Uzben and students of the Faculty of Information Technology from foreign countries - Mongolia, China and Turkmenistan.

The meeting of the scientific council of the faculty was opened with a welcoming speech of the chairman of the council, dean of the faculty, professor, doctor of economic sciences. Seilov Shakhmaran Zhursinbekovich. On the eve of the Nauryz celebration, the chairman of the council, Seilov Shahmaran Zhursinbekovich, began his speech by congratulating all those present on the upcoming holiday.
The first issue on the agenda was the development strategy of the faculty. The chairman of the council introduced the development strategy of the L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University, and then presented his vision and plans for the strategic development of the Faculty of Information Technologies to the attention of the audience.
The development strategy of the LN Gumilyov Eurasian National University for 2021-2025 defines the following directions for the development of the university:
- Science and innovation, commercialization and technology transfer "ENU - innovation university";
- Academic excellence "ENU - academic excellence university";
- Internationalization and increasing international competitiveness "ENU - international university";
- Creation of an innovative ecosystem for students and teachers "ENU - digital university";
- Increasing the efficiency and transparency of the management and financing system "ENU - transparent university".
One of the tasks set in the development strategy of the L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University and the Faculty of Information Technologies is internationalization and increasing the international competitiveness of the university. In order to implement this strategy, foreign students studying at the Faculty of Information Technologies of the L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University were invited to the academic council of the faculty to organize activities to attract foreign students to our university.
Dean of the faculty Shakhmaran Zhursinbekovich in his speech also noted the importance of organizing and implementing a scholarship program for foreign citizens, which harmonizes educational approaches, standards, curricula in universities around the world and carries the development of mobility to increase the competitiveness of universities and countries, the formation of a single market labor.
By the decision of the faculty council, the director of the historical public association "Atazhurt" Khurmanbai Uzben and foreign 1st year students Amangeldi Gulnur, Zula Argul, Durdieva Rozigul, Nurmetova Kyrmyzygul were included in the academic council of the Faculty of Information Technologies, as an honorary member of the council.
